Opening of the 1st Party Congress of Tuyen Quang Province, 2025–2030 term

On the morning of September 24, at the Provincial Conference Center, the 1st Party Congress of Tuyen Quang Province, term 2025–2030, officially took place.

The Congress was attended by Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, along with leaders and former leaders of central agencies, Military Region 2, and several neighboring provinces.

Present on behalf of Tuyen Quang Province were Comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary; members of the Standing Committee and Permanent Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Council, the Provincial People’s Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; former provincial leaders from past terms; and 415 official delegates representing more than 136,000 Party members across the province.

The Congress took place as the entire Party, people, and armed forces are making every effort to mark the upcoming 14th National Party Congress. This major political event reflects the will and determination of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee and its people to realize development goals by 2030.

The Congress reviewed and evaluated the results of five years implementing the Resolutions of the Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang Provincial Party Congresses (2020–2025), and identified orientations, goals, three breakthroughs, five key tasks, and 18 specific targets for the 2025–2030 term. The Congress adopted the motto: “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development.”

According to the Political Report, despite many difficulties and challenges, the province achieved comprehensive results in the past term: sustained economic growth, expanded infrastructure, strengthened national defense and security, ensured social welfare, and improved people’s living standards. These achievements provide a firm foundation for the province’s new stage of development, with the goal that by 2030, Tuyen Quang will become a fairly developed province with above-average income, and by 2045, a developed province with high income in the northern midland and mountainous region.

During the Congress, the Politburo and the Secretariat announced decisions on personnel for the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary, Deputy Secretaries, the Provincial Party Inspection Commission, and the delegation to attend the 14th National Party Congress.

In his address, Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee praised the efforts of the Party, government, and people of Tuyen Quang, and urged the province to maximize its potential and advantages, promote innovation and digital transformation, and build a clean and strong Party organization and political system. He expressed confidence that Tuyen Quang would make breakthroughs, achieve new accomplishments, and contribute to the successful realization of the nation’s strategic development goals.
