Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh discussed with Mr. Kwon Sung Taek, Chairman of the Korea - Vietnam Economic and Cultural Association, about the potential and advantages of Tuyen Quang province. |
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.
At the meeting, Chairman Kwon Sung Taek reported on KOVECA’s activities with Tuyen Quang Province. Both sides exchanged information to promote Tuyen Quang and connect Korean enterprises with the province. Some Korean businesses in agriculture, energy, and biotechnology expressed interest in working with Tuyen Quang cooperatives. The association also supported cultural exchanges and participation in the province’s major cultural events. In the future, KOVECA plans to introduce more Korean enterprises to Tuyen Quang for cooperation in economic, cultural, and tourism development.
In his remarks, Party Secretary Hau A Lenh emphasized that Tuyen Quang has engaged in practical and effective cooperation with Korean partners. Currently, the province hosts seven FDI projects from Korean investors, with a total registered capital of USD 36 million. However, he noted that the scale of cooperation remains modest compared to the province’s potential. He expressed his hope that KOVECA and Kosy JSC would continue to support Tuyen Quang in fields such as investment promotion, trade, urban infrastructure development, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, as well as cultural, tourism, and educational cooperation.
The Secretary affirmed that Tuyen Quang always provides an open, stable, and supportive investment environment, accompanying investors and enterprises to ensure project success. He also wished for KOVECA’s support in fostering friendly cooperative relations between Tuyen Quang and Korean localities, strengthening cultural and tourism exchanges, promoting sustainable tourism development, sharing experiences in developing tourist areas, and connecting investors for research, surveys, and investment in commercial infrastructure. He also encouraged cooperation in promoting OCOP products and other potential sectors such as agriculture and tourism.
