Minister Tran Hong Minh and Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh inspected the project's progress at the National Highway 37 interchange. |
The project has a total investment of VND 8.8 trillion. To date, land clearance has reached 99.98% (excluding the 8.1 km new section), and all 24 resettlement zones have been completed, with land handed over to 446 out of 479 households. Construction progress has reached approximately 41% of the contractual value.
At the inspection site, Minister Tran Hong Minh commended the efforts of the local authorities and contractors. He urged all involved parties to take advantage of favourable weather conditions, implement round-the-clock shifts, and “work day and night” to expedite progress to achieve technical traffic clearance for the two-lane section by December 2025.
Tuyen Quang’s leaders proposed that the Ministry of Construction and other central agencies report to the Government to seek additional funding for upgrading the 64.5 km segment from two to four lanes. Minister Minh supported the proposal and emphasized the need for local authorities to take the initiative in completing investment procedures, rather than relying on central ministries. He advised that any procedural difficulties should be directly reported for guidance and resolution.
On this occasion, leaders from the Ministry of Construction and the province presented gifts to encourage the construction teams. The province is working to finalize the investment approval process by August 15, aiming to commence the four-lane expansion phase by the end of this year.
