Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee inspects progress of investment projects

BHG - Deputy Secretary of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son inspected the progress of several investment projects in Ha Giang City and Vi Xuyen District on November 5.

The inspected projects included the water diversion dam for the city centre’s landscape, the provincial sports and cultural complex (first phase), and the Suu stream water supply system project.

The main construction phases of the water diversion dam project for Ha Giang City’s centre landscape have been completed, and the contractor is currently working on the embankment and overflow dam. The total cost of the project is 330.29 billion VND, of which 202.50 billion VND has been allocated by 2024.

For the provincial sports and cultural complex (first phase), about 84% of the work has been completed. Meanwhile, the first phase of the Suu stream water supply system project is nearly completed, with the remaining work focused on finalising components for inspection and commissioning.

During the inspection, the Chairman emphasised three key projects during the campaign: "60 days and nights of accelerating construction and completing public investment disbursement". He urged the projects’ investors to take responsibility, supervise the progress of the works, and mobilise labour resources and equipment to speed up construction during favourable weather conditions after the rainy season. The Chairman also instructed the completion of payment and settlement procedures and the development of a specific construction schedule to ensure the projects’ deadlines.
