Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People Committee receives Czech Ambassador
BHG - Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son on October 9 hosted a courtesy meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiaryof the Czech RepublicHynek Kmonicekand his colleagues during their visit to the province.

The provincial leader stated that Ha Giang has the third-largest tea-growing area in the country. Thanks to its unique terrain and climate, the province boasts the largest area of ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees in Vietnam, with some trees being thousands of years old. The Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark, holds great potential for tourism development. Additionally, the western mountainous region of the province is home to many scenic spots, and the lowland districts have favourable conditions for socio-economic development.

Ambassador Hynek Kmonicek expressed his gratitude and pride for the opportunity to visit Ha Giang Province. He affirmed that the Vietnamese community is the fourth-largest ethnic minority group in the Czech Republic and plays an important role in the country's development. Over the past five years, around 300,000 Vietnamese citizens have been living and studying in the Czech Republic.
Ambassador Kmonicek mentioned that at the beginning of 2025, the Czech Republic will organise a visit for tourism agents and companies to Vietnam, including Ha Giang. Many Czech citizens are eager to explore and experience tourism in Ha Giang, particularly the region's ancient tea trees, as tea is a product beloved by many people in the Czech Republic.
In addition, the Czech Republic is ready to assist in promoting Ha Giang's image to the world.
