Ha Giang: 14 reported dead, missing, or injured due to natural disasters
BHG - According to the People's Committee of Ha Giang Province’s report on the damage caused by the impact of floods in Ha Giang Province, as of 11:00 a.m. on September 30, 14 people were either dead, missing or injured, including two dead and four missing, with the disaster also causing injuries to eight people.
The total number of damaged houses is 122. Eighthouses completely collapsed, 17 suffered damage by 50% or more, and 22 were affected by landslides and water overflow. Fifty-six houses with 222 people were urgently evacuated. Nineteen houses need to be urgently evacuated to a safe place.

Regarding agriculture, forestry, livestock and aquaculture, 71.6 hectares of rice, 11.75 hectares of corn, and 35 hectares of aquaculture were damaged.Several irrigation works and traffic roads have been seriously eroded.
The total damage is about 23.3 billion VND and will increase as the flood situation is still very complicated.
Immediately after the disaster occurred, the Provincial and District Steering Committees for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue proactively deployed forces and plans to be ready to approach the scene.
The committees also directed the authorities of the communes to monitor weather developments, strictly prohibiting all vehicles and people from passing through areas at risk of flash floods and landslides,propagating and mobilising people not to travel, fish, or collect firewood when there is a flood.
The province organised to bring the injured to the district's medical facilities for timely treatment,supporting the dead and continuing to search for the missing.
