Honoring the fragrance and flavor of Tuyen Quang Shan Tuyet Tea

The skillful hands and passionate eyes of tea artisans at the 2025 Shan Tuyet Tea Products and Tea Brewing Techniques Contest created a lively atmosphere imbued with Tuyen Quang's cultural identity. The contest was not only an opportunity for exchange and learning but also a journey to spread pride and affirm the position of the Tuyen Quang Shan Tuyet tea brand in both domestic and international markets.

In the Shan Tuyet Tea Product category, the Jury and Organizing Committee evaluated tea samples based on aroma, taste, color, and processing methods.

Contestant Ly Mi Po from Lung Phin Shan Tuyet Tea Cooperative made a strong impression by combining tea brewing with the lively sound of the highland flute.

Situated at an altitude of 1,500 meters, where ancient tea trees are covered in mist year-round, the tea from this region carries a unique, rich flavor - just like the resilient spirit of the mountain people.

The contest attracted 20 teams with 80 participants competing in two categories: Shan Tuyet tea products and tea brewing techniques, with 87 entries in total. Each product represented the crystallization of nature and human craftsmanship, reflecting the distinct flavors of tea-growing regions such as Hong Thai, Con Lon, Lung Phin, Nam Dich, where Shan Tuyet tea trees have taken root and intertwined with local life for generations.

Contestants presented their tea-processing methods and introduced their products’ flavors to the judges, expressing the pride of Tuyen Quang’s tea-making tradition.

In the tea brewing techniques category, every utensil, every motion of pouring water, and every cup of tea was performed with meticulous care, reflecting the unique cultural identity of each locality.

Each cup of tea offered to the judges embodied the pride and passion of tea growers from different regions.

As part of the program, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Vietnam Tea Association held a seminar to discuss the development orientation of Tuyên Quang Shan Tuyet tea products.

From tender tea buds absorbing the essence of heaven and earth, through the diligent hands of tea artisans and elaborate processing stages, each cup of Shan Tuyet tea not only carries economic value but also stands as a cultural symbol of Tuyên Quang. Its gentle fragrance and rich flavor tell stories of the land, the people, and the pride of those who preserve the essence of Vietnamese tea.

Joy and pride filled the air as participating teams were honored, recognizing their efforts to preserve and promote the traditional value of the Shan Tuyet tea plant.

Contestant Ly Thanh Nhan from Phin Ho Tea Processing Cooperative excellently won First Prize in the tea brewing techniques category, contributing to honoring the refined essence of Tuyên Quang Shan Tuyet tea.
