The beauty of labour on construction sites

In August, Tuyen Quang seems to wear a new coat, vibrant with colors and full of vitality from its key projects. On the construction sites, everyone is racing against time with the determination to turn blueprints into reality, building the infrastructure of the future.

The Water Regulation Dam project in Ha Giang 1 Ward has a total adjusted investment of 330.29 billion VND. The project includes a water-raising dam with flat gates operated by hydraulic cylinders, a reservoir with a capacity of 2.2 million cubic meters stretching 5.9 km, and a four-lane bridge integrated into the dam body, 122.5 m long and 18 m wide, connecting National Highway 2 with the southern ring road. This multipurpose project will ensure a stable water supply, improve the environment, and open up tourism potential for Tuyen Quang.

Workers are currently assembling bridge deck panels onto the valve tower, pouring concrete for arches, and reinforcing both sides of the dam. Worker Bui Manh Phuong shared: “Every action requires precision and seamless coordination. Just a few centimeters off, and an entire block weighing dozens of tons would need to be realigned.”

Machines work continuously, their roaring engines blending with the rushing river below.

From above, the Tuyen Quang General Hospital project appears as a modern architectural complex nearing completion, promising to become a leading medical center in the region. At this time, workers are also busy completing the hospital’s courtyard and landscape.

The Tuyen Quang – Ha Giang Expressway (Phase 1) stretches more than 104 km. Construction progress is being accelerated, aiming to open to technical traffic with two lanes by December 2025.

Across construction sites, hundreds of machines, vehicles, and workers are working in shifts around the clock.

To date, the entire route has mobilized 114 construction teams with nearly 1,058 pieces of machinery. The total value of completed construction works has reached about 41% of the contract value.

Under the scorching 35°C sun, after brief moments of rest, workers return to the rhythm of rollers and bulldozers to meet progress targets for each task.

Whether in healthcare, irrigation, or transportation, all projects share the same spirit: urgency, responsibility, and dedication to the sustainable development of Tuyen Quang province.
