60 day-and-night emulation campaign in Bac Quang

BHG - These days, the working atmosphere is bustling across construction sites and projects using public investment in Bac Quang District. There, whether sunny or rainy, day or night, the sound of excavators and drilling machines matches with the bustling voices and laughter of workers who are trying their best to complete their work, creating a vibrant symphony.

In 2024, Bac Quang District is allocated a total public investment capital of more than 284.5 billion VND. To date, more than 149 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 52.42% of the plan.

In particular, in the last two months of the year, the district launched the emulation movement entitled “60 days and nights to accelerate the implementation of investment projects and complete disbursement of public investment capital and three target programmes in 2024.”

The movement has mobilised the participation of the entire political system, the business community and the people, creating an exciting emulation spirit to complete or exceed the planned targets and socio-economic development tasks set by the district.

Human and material resources are mobilised to the fullest to ensure the progress of the Minh Thuong Village Population Stabilization Planning Area project (Tan Lap Commune).

Despite the cold winter rain, the workers still worked in three shifts and four teams with the spirit of speed and determination to conquer the weather conditions.

At the embankment of the Cultural House in Minh Ha Village (Tan Lap Commune), workers are working days and nights to complete the project on time.

At 9:30 p.m., despite the heavy rain, the construction site of the bridge to Team 2, Minh Ha Village (Tan Lap Commune), still had bright lights, where the roar of excavators, boring machines mixed with the murmuring sounds of oxy gas cutting torches.

Under the bright lights, workers diligently work as if they don’t miss a moment, making efforts to build embankments to protect residential areas, schools and the Community House of Minh Ha Village (Tan Lap Commune).

Officials of the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Bac Quang District are regularly present at construction sites to encourage workers.

In the cold winter that seems to cut into the skin, the temporary shacks on the construction site become the only home for the workers.

They are not afraid to race against time to keep up with progress.

On days when it rained continuously, their clothes were soaked in rainwater and couldn’t dry. They could only light an open fire to dry each piece of clothing and warm their hands, which were numb from the cold.

For their living, Chung Van Luoc and his wife, Lu Thi Nhung, Tung Ba Commune (Vi Xuyen District), decided to bring their 1-year-old son to the construction site with them.

Although life at the construction site is difficult, it is still filled with mutual support and solidarity. Quick meals under the lights, smiles of encouragement between breaks and even firm handshakes before entering the working shift, together they deliver a silent promise: Together, we will embrace the sun and the rain to complete the assigned task of the 60-day-and-night emulation movement, contributing to the prosperity and happiness of the southern gateway of Ha Giang Province.
