Ly ThiDich’s family (from Coc Mui Hạ Village, Po Lo Commune), along with six other households in the strawberry farming linkage group, has received over 200 million VND to expand their cultivation area. In 2024, Dich planted 5,000 strawberry plants, earning over 80 million VND after expenses. By participating in the linkage group, she received training and exchanged experiences, which helped the poverty reduction model become more sustainable. She shared: “Our family decided to expand our cultivation area and create a group linkage chain. Many customers come directly to the farm to buy strawberries at prices ranging from 150,000 to 200,000 VND per kg.”

In San Sa Ho Commune, Hoang Xuan Vien(from CocCọcVillage) joined the black pig farming group, receiving 19 million VND to purchase 16 piglets and build a sturdy pigsty. After four months, the pig herd developed well, and the first three pigs were sold, generating 10 million VND. Viet said: “Joining the linkage group has helped my family expand our livestock farming scale and care for them more effectively. We plan to continue growing to increase our income.”

Under Project 3 of the National Target Programme, in 2024, Hoang Su Phi District was allocated over 26.3 billion VND to develop sustainable poverty reduction models. From the beginning of the year, the district’s People’s Committee allocated funds to communes and townships, focusing on identifying key crops and livestock for commodity-oriented production and promoting communication to harness the people’s internal strength.

Hoang Duc Tan, Vice Chairman of the Hoang Su Phi District People’s Committee, said: “So far, the district has implemented 35 community-proposed projects, focusing on raising cattle, goats, horses, and black pigs, and cultivating strawberries, plums, and pears. The district has disbursed nearly 21 billion VND, reaching 80% of the total funding, helping over 7,700 households escape poverty in 2024.”
