Binh Duong donates 5 billion VND to Ha Giang for disaster relief

BHG - On the morning of October 24, Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Province Nguyen Hoang Thao presented 5 billion VND (196,000 USD) to his Ha Giang counterpart Thao Hong Son to help the northern province deal with the consequences of natural disasters.

Since the start of the year, Ha Giang has been hit by 21 natural disasters, causing significant losses to human lives and properties.

Notably,in late September, heavy rains induced by the remnants of Typhoon Yagi caused severe flooding and landslides in Viet Vinh Commune, Bac Quang District.

Sharing the losses and offering sympathy to the victims of natural disasters in Ha Giang, the Binh Duong official expressed his hope that this sum of money will help Ha Giang Province and its residents soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilise their lives.

For his part, Ha Giang Deputy Secretary Thao Hong Son thanked the support of the Binh Duong people and government and pledged to use the donation for the right purposes, promptly helping affected families to soon return to normal lives.
