Tan Quang on journey towards “smart commune”

BHG - Implementing Resolution No. 18 of the Provincial Party Committee on digital transformation for the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2030, Tan Quang Commune of Bac Quang District cooperates with Viettel Ha Giang to build a comprehensive digital transformation model.

Striving by 2025, the commune will achieve the following criteria: 100% of cadres and civil servants using virtual assistant software; 50% of people having access to public services with personal digital signatures; 80% of households having access to the internet; and implement QR code payments for 70% of business households.

These efforts aim to build digital government, digital economy, and digital society in the locality.

Cooperating with Viettel Ha Giang, the commune has implemented solutions such as: Instructing cadres on how to use virtual assistant software; installing personal digital signatures; promoting cashless payments via Viettel Money QR codes; building digital payment streets; and applying traceability technology for agricultural products, especially OCOP products.

Viettel Ha Giang supports the commune in the fields of public administration, digital economy and digital society, including opening free accounts, providing cheap 4G phones, limiting the use of administrative documents, and training community digital transformation teams.

Nguyen Thi Dung, an official from the commune’s Office of the People's Council - People's Committee, shared that the digital signature software and virtual assistants help improve work efficiency, process documents in the online environment, and save time.

Pham Khac Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune, emphasised the benefits of digital signature via phone, helping to process work anytime, anywhere, saving time and increasing work efficiency.

Building a "smart commune" with people at the centre, aims to narrow the gap between rural and urban areas, bringing many conveniences and improving people's lives.

With high political determination and consensus of the people, along with effective support from Viettel Ha Giang, Tan Quang Commune is determined to accelerate the process of building digital government, digital infrastructure, digital economy and digital society, towards sustainable development.
