Vi Thuong Commune completes citizen data cleansing

BHG - As of the end of the second quarter of 2024, Vi Thuong Commune (Quang Binh District) has successfully completed the cleansing of its citizen data, with 100% of social welfare beneficiaries receiving monthly allowances via bank accounts. The commune has effectively implemented solutions for applying the national population database, achieving over 94% issuance of level 1 and 2 electronic identification accounts.

As part of the “Development of Citizen Data Applications, Identification, and Electronic Authentication for National Digital Transformation in the 2022-2025 Period” project, Quang Binh District has seen consistent leadership from the district to the commune level. The Vi Thuong Commune Police actively carried out awareness campaigns, going door to door to inform residents of the benefits of the Citizen Identification Card and electronic identification.

A notable case is that of Hoang Van Cuoc from Ha Quang Village, who was once the main breadwinner for his family but lost a leg in an accident. He shared that receiving allowances via a bank account has eased his burden of traveling to payment locations, providing convenience and efficiency.

As of the end of the second quarter of 2024, Vi Thuong Commune has completed the cleansing of citizen data, with 100% of social welfare recipients receiving benefits through bank accounts. The commune issued electronic identification accounts to nearly 4,200 people, reaching a 94% coverage rate. All residents are using chip-embedded Citizen Identification Cards for health and social insurance services via the VNeID app. Additionally, the commune has digitised 100% of administrative records and outcomes of administrative procedures.

Hua Duc Hanh, the chairman of the commune's People’s Committee, affirmed the high political determination of the party committees and local authorities, along with the active involvement of the commune police, which has made a significant contribution to digital transformation, thus enhancing state management and public service delivery. Vi Thuong Commune will continue to strengthen its outreach efforts to carry out the tasks of Project 06 in the future.
