For a long time, Da (Rock) cake has been a simple rural gift, rich in the traditional flavors of the highland people of Tuyen Quang.
‘Da’ cake is not only a childhood memory but also a source of pride for the people living in the northernmost part of the country. From that rustic flavor, a young couple, La Thi Lanh and Nguyen Dinh Cuong from Pho Bang 2 hamlet (Pho Bang commune) boldly started up from this cake, bringing their hometown’s ‘Da’ cake to wider markets.
The startup story of this young couple is proof of today’s youth’s determination and creativity. From something seemingly small, they have ignited the aspiration to build prosperity right on their homeland while preserving traditional cultural values for future generations.
