With victories in a series of key battleground states, Donald Trump has secured the minimum 270 electoral votes needed in the US presidential election, officially winning the presidency.

This information was reported by major American media outlets on the evening of November 6 (Vietnam time). According to Reuters, Trump received 279 electoral votes, surpassing the 270-mark required for re-election.
Meanwhile, his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, received 223 electoral votes.
Although some states have yet to complete their vote counts, Trump achieved decisive victories in crucial battleground states, including North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania, to clinch the race to the White House.
With this victory, Trump has become the second president in US history to serve two non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland.
Speaking to a crowd of supporters at the Palm Beach Convention Centre, in Florida, Trump emphasised that American voters had entrusted him with “an unprecedented mission”.
He pledged to “fight” for the American people, promised a “golden era for America”, and added that he would “not rest until he has delivered the strong safe and prosperous America”.
