Bustling 'Tet Tay Do 2025' event

The 'Tet Tay Do 2025' event with the theme "Flow of Vietnamese Tet" officially opened on January 17 and will take place until January 23 at Tay Do Square, Mai Chi Tho Street, Cai Rang District (Can Tho City).

The event features more than 100 booths, introducing typical products of the Southwest region and the cultural features of Tet in the three regions of the country.

The 'Tet Tay Do 2025' event is organised by the Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with the People's Committee of Cai Rang District and related departments, branches and sectors under the direction of the People's Committee of Can Tho City.

This is the first event to be held and is expected to take place on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year, preserving and promoting local cultural heritages, while recreating the traditional Tet image of ethnic groups, recalling memories and images of the daily life of people in Can Tho in particular and the Mekong Delta in general in the days leading up to the Lunar New Year.

With the theme "Flow of Vietnamese Tet", the 'Tay Do Tet 2025' event helps people and tourists experience and connect the cultures of the country.

With the theme "Flow of Vietnamese Tet", more than 100 cultural and culinary booths from 30 localities nationwide at 'Tet Tay Do 2025' will not only introduce and promote the culinary culture of the southwestern provinces but also be an opportunity to promote and honour the cultural beauty and people of Vietnam.

Artisans from different regions will perform, introduce processing methods and elaborate dishes along with many cultural and artistic activities imbued with national identity, gift-giving games and many unique experiences about the culinary culture of Tet in the three regions, making Tet trays, fruit trays, performing traditional music and the youth music night "Brilliant Spring Colours".

According to the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City and the organising committee, 'Tet Tay Do 2025' has attracted numerous tourists and people to visit and experience.

It can be said that this is truly a meeting place to honour the quintessential cultural and culinary arts, from traditional to modern, thereby affirming the power of cultural connection and being an opportunity for people and tourists to learn and enjoy the culinary flavours associated with the culture of the participating localities.

During the event, many large restaurants and hotels in Can Tho City announced discounts on food and accommodation services for tourists and overseas Vietnamese returning home for Tet.
