Hanoi welcomes nearly 16.5 million visitors in seven months

Hanoi received 16.44 million visitors in the first seven months of 2024, up 11.8% over the same period in 2023, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

Of the total figure, foreign visitors reached 3.43 million, a sharp increase of 42.5% over the corresponding period in 2023.

Thanks to the growing number of tourists, Hanoi’s revenue from tourism was reported at over 63.6 trillion VND in the seven-month period, up 18.9% over the same period last year.

In July alone, about 2.52 million tourists visited Hanoi, including 425,000 international tourists.

Hanoi currently has 3,760 accommodation establishments with 71,246 rooms, including 606 hotels and apartment buildings ranked from 1 to 5 stars.

The Hanoi Lotus Festival and the exhibitions of OCOP products and culture of Northern provinces which were held in the city in July have contributed to boosting Hanoi tourism and attracting tourists to the capital city.
