Promoting Tuyen Quang tourism

With magnificent natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and friendly people, Tuyen Quang has gradually affirmed its position on the regional and international tourism map.

Home to more than 20 ethnic groups, Tuyen Quang boasts a diverse system of festivals and cultural traditions that reflect the enduring vitality of its multi-ethnic heritage. Intangible cultural practices such as Then singing, Sinh ca, the Dao people’s Cap Sac ritual, and the Long Tong festival have been recognized as national heritage.

In recent years, the province has been continuously honored by the World Travel Awards as “Asia’s Leading Emerging Tourism Destination 2023,” “Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination 2024,” and most recently, “UNESCO Global Geopark – Dong Van Karst Plateau, Tuyen Quang, Vietnam – Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination 2025.”

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first ten months of 2025, Tuyen Quang welcomed more than 3 million visitors, including 90,000 international tourists, generating over VND8 trillion

 in tourism revenue. New types of tourism, such as cave exploration, waterfall climbing, kayaking, paragliding, and off-road racing, along with cultural events, night markets, and trade fairs, have contributed to a vibrant and appealing tourism landscape.

Local communities have also benefited significantly from community-based tourism. Homestays in Thuong Lam and the H’Mong Village resort in Lung Tam attract hundreds of visitors daily, creating stable jobs with average monthly incomes of VND6 million – VND9 million for local people.

Tuyen Quang continues to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TU on developing tourism into a key economic sector. According to Nguyen Trung Ngoc, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province is focusing on brand promotion, investor attraction, human resource training, and developing distinctive tourism products, aiming to make Tuyen Quang a safe and appealing destination for both domestic and international travelers.
