The event was organised by the Department of Sports and Physical Training in coordination with the Viet Nam Traditional Martial Arts Federation and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, aiming to contribute to preserving and promoting the quintessence of national martial arts, while responding to the campaign on “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” and celebrating major holidays of the year.
The tournament is taking place from August 2 to 12, 2025, gathering a strong force of more than 700 coaches, athletes, and delegation leaders from 29 units in 21 provinces, cities, and sectors across the country.
Of which, 531 athletes, including 306 registered to compete in the boxing event and 225 in the combat event, compete in 126 sets of medals. The tournament also has the participation of a national referee force that is well-trained, ensuring expertise and impartiality.
With a large, professional and strict organisation scale, the 34th National Traditional Martial Arts Championship in 2025 is not only an annual playground for martial artists nationwide, but also a place to gather and spread the values of national martial arts identity.
Through each season, Vietnamese Traditional Martial Arts has increasingly affirmed its position with an innovative competition system, improved professional quality, meeting the requirements of integration and professionalisation, but still preserving the traditional soul - the pride of Vietnamese martial arts culture.
