Francophonie Run 2025 connects Francophone community through culture and sports
The Francophonie Run 2025 took place at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi on March 29, creating a vibrant festival of sports and culture that brought together the Francophone community and running enthusiasts.

As a key event of the French and Francophonie Community Festival 2025, the run was organised by the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the Francophone University Agency (AUF), the French Embassy in Vietnam, and the Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations, and Organisations in Hanoi (GADIF).
Marking its third edition, the event continued to promote unity and cultural exchange among Francophone nations.
Runners of all ages and backgrounds participated in three race distances: 2.5km, 5km, and 10km. A total of 35 prizes were awarded, including those for the top finishers in each category, the youngest and oldest participants, and team achievements.
Beyond the race, the event was an integral part of the French and Francophonie Community Festival 2025, which officially opened on March 28. The festival featured a French culinary space within Thong Nhat Park, offering delicacies such as pastries, French apples, cheese, wine, and other specialties.
Additionally, an education fair introduced language programmes, scholarships, and career opportunities for those interested in studying in French.
The festival also included artistic performances by students from Francophone schools in Hanoi, Francophone organisations, and renowned artists, enriching the celebration with music and dance.
