Billiards player Tran Thanh Luc secures world title

Vietnamese billiards player Tran Thanh Luc has won the 3-cushion carom World Cup in Bogota, Colombia, leaping to 5th place in the world rankings.

The Vietnamese player secured the title after defeating Turkish opponent Tayfun Tasdemir with a score of 50-47.

This is Luc’s first World Cup title. Previously, he had twice reached the finals of prestigious international tournaments, the Asian Championship and the World Championship, but both times he was defeated by Cho Myung Woo from the Republic of Korea.

Tran Thanh Luc became the next player from Vietnam to win the World Cup championship after Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Duc Minh, and Bao Phuong Vinh.

The victory over Tayfun is not only a memorable milestone but also an important stepping stone for Thanh Luc’s greater successes in the future.
