Twenty-three countries, territories register for Asian Police Taekwondo Championship 2024

Twenty-three countries and territories have so far registered for the Asian Police Taekwondo Championship 2024 that will be held in Vietnam in next month, according to the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Public Security Forces Sports Association, which will host the event in collaboration with the World Police Taekwondo Federation.

The competition will take place from December 6-9 at the multi-purpose stadium in the northern Quang Ninh province.

Registered countries and territories include Bangladesh, Cambodia, Canada, China, Ghana, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Iran, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Taiwan (China), the US, Thailand, and Pakistan, with over 2,000 athletes.

This will be the first time Vietnam has hosted the Asian Police Taekwondo Championship. The competition will feature two main categories - the Asian Police Taekwondo Championship and the Asian Police Taekwondo Festival.

There will be 16 weight categories in sparring events, along with five for poomsae, and five performing events.
