Vietnam bags 11 gold medals at 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championships
The Vietnamese kickboxing team finished the 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championships with 11 gold medals, placing third in the medal tally.

The Vietnamese kickboxing team consists of 10 coaches and 32 players competing in 34 events at the 2024 Asian Kickboxing Championships, held in Cambodia from October 4 to 14.
Overall, the Vietnam kickboxing team secured 11 gold, 11 silver and 11 bronze medals. With these achievements, Vietnam ranked third in the medal table.

Among these achievements, there are some remarkable victories of Vietnamese kickboxers, namely Huynh Thi Kim Vang in the women's 65-kilogram full contact, Nguyen Minh Hieu in the men's 69-kilogram kick-light, Hoang Thi Thuy Giang in the women's 50-kilogram kick-light, Huynh Van Tuan in the men's 54- kilogram K1 style and Phung Thi Hong Tham in the women's 65-kilogram kick-light.
Uzbekistan dominated this year’s tournament, followed by Kazakhstan. The Championship also recorded 13 participating teams bagging the gold medal for men and women in all formats.
General Secretary of the Kickboxing Federation of Vietnam (KFC) Duong Ngoc Hai appreciated the 22 kickboxers’ achievements in the final. It was an encouraging initial result of the Vietnamese kickboxing team at this continental tournament as well as demonstrating the continuous improvements of Vietnamese kickboxing in recent years.
