In 2025, through the National Target Program on New Rural Development, Bang Lang Commune was allocated more than VND 1.4 billion to maintain and repair the asphalt road to Trung Thanh Hamlet; renovate the cultural house and sports area of Tan Chang Hamlet; and construct a concrete road from Provincial 183 to Khun Hamlet. All projects were completed on schedule, with a 100% disbursement rate, providing strong momentum for the commune to fulfil transport and cultural criteria under the new rural development program.
Alongside infrastructure investment, the commune has prioritized livelihood development. Using funds from the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, Bang Lang implemented a project linking the production and consumption of purebred H’mong black chickens. With a total funding of over VND 2.3 billion, the project supports 15 poor and near-poor households in raising 9,000 chickens. After six months, the chickens reached a weight of 1.8–2.2 kg each and were sold at VND 100,000 per kilogram, generating average profits of VND 20–40 million for households with larger-scale production.
In addition, Bang Lang is implementing livelihood diversification projects such as buffalo and pig raising under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, with a total budget of nearly VND 800 million. The commune continues to review and evaluate all programs comprehensively, ensuring effective integration of funding sources, promoting commodity-oriented production, and strengthening supervision to maximize post-investment efficiency.
Overall, funding from the three national target programs has significantly transformed the rural and mountainous landscape of Bang Lang, narrowing the development gap with neighboring areas and laying a solid foundation for sustainable development aligned with the commune’s potential and strengths.
