Tan Trinh takes steady steps toward building a smart countryside

The commune has consolidated community digital technology teams across 17 villages, assigning specific tasks to each member to directly guide residents in using digital platforms, online public services, cashless payments, and the VNeID electronic identification system. At the Commune Public Administration Service Center, local police officers and youth union members regularly assist residents in handling administrative procedures through the National Public Service Portal. Since July 2025, the commune has received over 2,300 administrative dossiers, of which 98% have been processed on time. Many procedures are now handled completely online, significantly reducing paperwork, time, and costs for citizens.
Under its 2025 Digital Transformation Plan, Tan Trinh has set 40 specific targets, including 25 for digital government, 3 for digital economy, and 12 for digital society. The commune aims for 100% of administrative dossiers to be processed online, 90% citizen satisfaction with online public services, and 60% of financial transactions conducted via cashless payment methods. Efforts also focus on digital infrastructure, including upgrading internet connectivity at the commune center, schools, and tourist sites; deploying online meeting systems; and digitizing records in key sectors such as justice, education, health, agriculture, and environment.
In promoting the digital economy, Tan Trinh encourages residents to engage in e-commerce and promote local specialty products such as Shan Tuyet tea and traditional brocade on digital platforms. Currently, 12 OCOP and local specialty products are available on major e-commerce sites, including Sendo, Lazada, Postmart, and Voso, with 8 products achieving stable monthly sales.
According to Nguyen Anh Duc, Secretary of the Tan Trinh Commune Party Committee, digital transformation is a central task in the commune’s socio-economic development strategy. To date, more than 3,200 residents have registered for level-2 VNeID electronic identification, accounting for over 70% of eligible citizens, while over 85% of households are now familiar with online public services and cashless payments. Building on these positive results, Tan Trinh continues expanding digital transformation in production, education, healthcare, and resource management, moving steadily toward the goal of becoming a smart new-style rural commune, where residents can access modern digital services right in their hometown.
