In 2024, the Thai Binh commune police were honored by the Government with the Emulation Flag for “Outstanding Unit in the ‘For National Security’ Emulation Movement.” This accolade recognizes the unit’s persistent efforts and strong sense of responsibility in maintaining security and order, thereby making a significant contribution to local socio-economic development.

Viewing the emulation movement as a driving force, the commune police have issued numerous resolutions and detailed plans, advancing all aspects of their work. They have prioritized gathering intelligence, conducting analysis and forecasting, and closely managing key areas and routes to prevent threats to public security from the outset. The unit has proactively advised local Party committees and authorities, while coordinating with agencies, organizations, and the public to mobilize the collective strength of the political system in maintaining social order and safety.

Over the past year, the Thai Binh commune police persuaded local people to voluntarily hand over 21 weapons and explosives, detected and apprehended two cases of illegal drug possession, facilitated the surrender of one wanted individual, summoned and warned 30 criminal elements, and secured written commitments from 20 youths at risk. They also held 17 legal education sessions in schools, advised on the handling of seven land-related disputes, and maintained accurate household and residency records without new violations arising.

The “All People Protect National Security” movement has seen positive developments, with many self-governing security models strengthened and expanded. Officers remain deeply engaged with the community, organizing voluntary and social support activities such as issuing citizen ID cards, giving gifts, building houses of gratitude, assisting 129 households relocated due to natural disasters, and delivering 500 relief packages to families affected by Typhoon No. 3.

The commune police branch emphasizes Party building in connection with studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style. They actively promote the movement of “self-study, self-discipline, and self-training,” while investing in infrastructure, equipment, and support tools to effectively meet grassroots-level operational demands.
