Binh Xa strives to uphold and enhance criteria of new-style rural area after the merger

Binh Xa commune currently covers an area of over 91 km2 and a population of nearly 18,000 people. With high determination, the commune has set the goal of maintaining and elevating the criteria for new-style model rural areas, aiming to build a comprehensively developed and sustainable rural community after the merger.

The Binh Xa commune Kindergarten has been recognized as achieving Level 2 educational quality accreditation.

Before the merger, Binh Xa was officially recognized as a model new rural commune in 2023. Criteria such as income, culture, environment, security and order, etc. were maintained and improved synchronously. However, Binh Xa commune faced many challenges when merging with Minh Huong commune due to the differences between the localities. To adapt to the new situation, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune proactively reviewed and adjusted the development plan, integrated support programs and prioritized resources for disadvantaged areas.

Comrade Nong Van Viet, Vice Chairman of Binh Xa Commune People's Committee, affirmed the commune's determination to uphold its post-merger achievements, particularly the model new rural area criteria. He noted that Binh Xa has reviewed and drafted specific annual and phased plans, with clear task assignments for departments, branches, mass organizations, and villages.

In the process of building a model new rural area, Binh Xa commune has prioritized education as a foundational and key criterion. Since 2021, leveraging local resources and the collective efforts of its people, the commune has invested over VND20 billion to construct spacious and modern classrooms, complete with fully equipped functional rooms and integrated teaching equipment.

In the coming time, Binh Xa commune will continue to focus on developing production associated with building OCOP product brands, diversifying livelihoods, attracting investment in high-tech agriculture, rural services, promoting digital transformation, and gradually modernizing agricultural management and production activities.

In addition to production development, Binh Xa also places special emphasis on environmental protection, including planting green trees along roads, building flower-lined routes, and collecting and sorting household waste, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful living environment.

The commune regularly organizes community cultural activities, restores folk games, preserves national identity, and enhances the spiritual life of the people. Notably, it effectively ensures security and order, and prevents crime in the locality.

With the consensus from Party committees, authorities, and the people, Binh Xa is affirming its determination to uphold its title as a model new rural area and is progressively moving towards a more comprehensive and sustainable development goal.
