Building “Comprehensive Exemplary Schools” in Quan Ba
BHG - Quan Ba District is implementing a movement to build a “Comprehensive Exemplary School” model with seven criteria and over 80 component indicators, including teaching staff, facilities, school-family-society relations, pedagogical environment landscape, life skills education, care for boarding students, and organisation of collective activities.
Since the 2016-2017 school year, the district has launched a competition movement and issued a set of evaluation criteria to aim for comprehensive education.
To create a spread, the district has supported funding to build a waste incinerator, green library, mobile library, traditional culture corner, life skills education, environmental protection, teaching folk culture and appropriate career orientation.

In addition, schools have also invested in toilets and bathrooms to meet the needs of boarding students and organised increased production to serve boarding meals. Thanks to promoting internal resources and mobilising socialisation, 100% of schools have proactively built models to support teaching and learning.
Tung Vai Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities is one of the typical examples of implementing the movement. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school achieved 154.25 out of 164 points, equivalent to 94.1% according to the district's criteria.
Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the school's principal, shared that the school has made a monthly and yearly implementation plan, clearly defining the responsibilities between the Board of Directors, teachers, parents and students, and at the same time providing specific solutions to increase coordination efficiency.
Up to now, Quan Ba District has 23 out of 37 schools meeting the standards of "Comprehensive Outstanding School", creating positive changes in the entire district's education sector, and changing the appearance of schools.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Hang Duong Thanh District said that the district continues to improve the criteria at schools that have met the standards, moving towards the model of "Happy School".
The Department of Education and Training has selected several schools to pilot the construction of "Bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe and happy schools".
The goal of the district is to build a friendly learning environment, where students love school, love class, and are united like brothers in the family; teachers are dedicated, responsible, and satisfied with their work.
