BHG - The Ha Giang Provincial Police officially took over four new responsibilities from various departments and agencies, marking a significant transition in administrative management from March 1, 2025. These responsibilities include state management of judicial records and issuance of judicial record certificates, transferred from the Department of Justice; drug rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation management, from the Department of Health; driver’s license testing and issuance, from the Department of Construction; and ensuring cybersecurity and information safety, from the Department of Science and Technology.

With a sense of urgency and responsibility, the Ha Giang Provincial Police quickly implemented measures to ensure the smooth continuation of these services without disruption to the public.

For driver’s license issuance, the traffic police force swiftly stabilised organisational structures and took over documents, materials, and facilities from the Department of Construction, ensuring seamless operations. The traffic police division established working groups to collaborate with specialised units, organised officer training and deployed new testing software to facilitate the licensing process.

Citizens have expressed high appreciation for the efficiency and dedication of police officers in guiding them through the licensing procedures, which have been handled swiftly and professionally.

At the drug rehabilitation centre in Linh Ho Commune, Vi Xuyen District, the provincial police assumed the responsibility of state management for drug rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation oversight. To maintain stability and ensure security at the centre, the police force has developed protection plans, provided necessary equipment and support tools, and conducted professional staff training. These measures aim to enhance operational efficiency and improve the quality of rehabilitation management.

Regarding judicial record management, the criminal records office of the provincial police has taken on a substantial workload from the Department of Justice. Despite the volume of work, officers have been working diligently to process records quickly, ensuring no backlog. Additionally, the police department is accelerating the application of information technology by digitising data and streamlining administrative procedures, making it easier for citizens to access judicial record services.

The transfer of these new responsibilities is both an honour and a challenge for the Ha Giang Provincial Police. However, with a proactive approach, strong commitment, and determination, the force is continuously improving service quality and operational effectiveness. By implementing innovative solutions and maintaining a high level of dedication, the provincial police aim to meet the expectations of the Party, the State, and the people.
