BHG - On the morning of December 31, the Dong Tam resettlement area in Yen Lap Village, Yen Thanh Commune, Quang Binh District, was officially inaugurated, marking a joyful and celebratory atmosphere among the local residents.
The last day of 2024 signified a new beginning for 37 households from Dong Tam Village who have relocated to the resettlement area in Yen Lap Village, Yen Thanh Commune. The homes of these families were destroyed by flash floods and landslides during Typhon Yagi, forcing them to move to a new place.
From early morning, residents busily decorated their new homes and prepared rituals to enter their new houses amidst feelings of joy and excitement.
The Dong Tam resettlement area covers a total planned area of 21,000 m², featuring 37 sturdy houses along with synchronised infrastructure, including electricity and clean water.
The new houses symbolise new hope and vitality, igniting aspirations for a brighter future for the local communities.
This initiative not only reflects the care of the Party and State but also the solidarity and sharing from the entire social community, helping the people of Dong Tam firmly settle down and thrive after natural disasters.
