Yen Lap resettlement area reaches 85% construction progress

BHG - After nearly two months of construction, the Yen Lap resettlement area, Yen Thanh commune (Quang Binh) has completed 85% of the progress. The “green hope” houses that have been built have ignited the belief in a stable and better life for 37 households in Dong Tam Village in Yen Thanh Commune after having to urgently relocate due to natural disasters and landslides.

To date, all houses for households in the Yen Lap resettlement area have been roofed and are urgently completing the remaining auxiliary works. Furthermore, 4 construction units have also increased human resources and machinery to speed up the construction progress of items such as: Internal traffic roads; electricity, water systems, embankments, and some public works. The construction is ensured to be continuous, using a “3 shifts, 4 teams” approach, with close supervision between the parties to complete the progress while meeting technical, aesthetic, and labour safety standards. In addition to the strong direction of the Party Committee, local authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organisations, the people of the communes in Quang Binh District have contributed hundreds of working days to help households build houses.

The resettlement area of Yen Lap Village is in the final stage of completion, ready for the inauguration so that people can return to their homes before the New Year 2025. Thereby, ensuring a safe and solid place to live and work, hoping for a bright future for families affected by natural disasters.
