Warming people’s hearts in the border areas

BHG - Yen Minh District is implementing a programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, with the goal of helping poor people in the border areas stabilise their lives.

This programme is taking place vigorously, with hundreds of new houses being built, bringing joy and great motivation to numerous households.

One of the families that has benefited is the family of HauCua Chi, who belong to a Mong ethnic group in KhauCuaVillage, Mau Long Commune. Chi's family has lived in a dilapidated house for many years, but due to difficult circumstances, they have not been able to rebuild it.

Thanks to the 60 million VND received in support from the State, he has built a solid level four house, 54 metres square wide. After 20 days of construction, the house is gradually approaching completion, bringing joy not only to his family but also to the whole community.

As of December 2, Yen Minh District has started construction of 151 houses, reaching 75.9% of the plan.Of these, seven houses have been completed so far. The district's goal is to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of July 2025.

Local authorities and associations are actively monitoring and supporting, including mobilising resources from organisations, individuals, and businesses.

Despite some difficulties such as lack of land use right certificates or non-compliance with planning, the district's specialised agencies are actively removing them to ensure progress.

The program has received high consensus from the people and authorities at all levels, contributing to enhancing the prestige of the Party and State, while helping poor households in the border areas have stable housing and not have to worry about housing in the coming time.
