Vi Xuyen has 89 temporary and dilapidated houses. Of which, 84 need to be rebuilt and 5 need to be repaired. As of November 26, all 23 communes and towns in the district have held groundbreaking ceremonies for the construction of a combined 64 houses for the poor.

The newly built and repaired houses must have a minimum usable area of 30 m2 or more and meet the three-solid: standards: solid foundation, solid frame – walls, and solid roof. Each has an expected lifespan of 20 years or more, with full ancillary facilities such as kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, and is designed in accordance with local customs and practices.

Specifically, with high political determination, communes and towns are striving to complete the 65 houses for poor households before the Lunar New Year 2025, helping people to celebrate a happy and warm Tet in the new houses.

The drastic participation of the entire political system demonstrates the care of the Party, government, and the whole society for people's lives, thus providing encouragement and motivation for disadvantaged households to rise above difficulties while sustainably reducing poverty.
