Dong Van District cares for semi-boarding students

BHG - Managing and caring for boarding students is an important task of the Education Department of Dong Van District.Sinh Lung Primary and Secondary Semi-boarding School for Ethnic Minoritiesin Sinh Lung Commune currently has 866 students, 465of whom are semi-boarding students.

The school always focuses on taking care of semi-boarding students, contributing to maintaining the number of students and improving the quality of education.

From the beginning of the school year, the school has developed a detailed plan and established a council to review policies for semi-boarding students.The school has cooperated with food suppliers with clear origins to ensure food safety and nutrition for meals. The menu has been changed regularly to help students have good health to study.

To ensure the semi-boarding students' activities take place in an orderly manner, the school has established specific regulations and timetables.At the same time, the school has established a Semi-boarding Catering Team, assigning teachers to take charge of areas ranging from room management to dietary care.

In particular, upper-grade students are assigned to tutor younger students as well asto help them during mealtimes and with tasks they cannot do on their own. Recreational and sports activities are also organised regularly, helping students improve their health and develop social skills.

Thao ThiSua, a 9th grade student, shared that at school, teachers not only teach knowledge but also take care of their meals and sleep. "I feel happy to have friends and teachers by my side," Thao ThiSuashared.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Viet Lam, the school's principal, said that semi-boarding work is always focused on improving students' health and maintaining student numbers. The school's semi-boarding work has become routine and is trusted by parents.

Ha DinhPhong, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Van District, said that the district has more than 30,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom are semi-boarders.

The Department of Education has also focused on reviewing facilities and fully implementing policies and regulations for teachers and semi-boarding students in order to ensure the best quality of education and student care.
