Within the framework of the programme, delegates visited many prominent tourist attractions in Xin Man, such as Nam Dan Ancient Stone Beach, Tien Waterfall - Deo Gio, Suoi Thau grassland (Coc Pai town) and households participating in community tourism activities in Nam Dan Commune.

In addition, they also visited some families in La Chi Chai Village, Nan Ma Commune, to survey the potential for building a community tourism model and developing tourism services in the Pake hydropower reservoir area, Pa Vay Su Commune.

Duong Van Tuy, Director of Plan Ha Giang Office, said that this programme is part of the 'Reaching The Furthest Behind' project to preserve and honour the traditional cultural values of ethnic groups.

The programme not only introduces the cultural beauty and customs of ethnic minorities but also promotes solidarity, attracting tourists to Xin Man.

At the same time, the programme also creates opportunities for tourism businesses to learn, expand markets, and develop new tourism products. The programme also helps local women promote their role in building the family economy, reducing poverty and improving the quality of life.

The 'Reaching the Furthest Behind' project, funded by the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam, will be implemented from 2023 and is expected to last until 2028 in Nan Ma and Nam Dan communes. The project aims to find sustainable livelihoods for people in the project area and assess the economic development potential for women.

In addition, the project also supports the organisation of training courses on tourism skills such as cooking, shaping tourism products and accessing markets.

These activities help local people better understand the needs and trends of community tourism development, thereby maximising the tourism potential of Xin Man District.
