Ha Giang to repair 21 bridges on National Highway 279 in 2024

BHG - Ha Giang Newspaper reported on August 24 that the surfaces of the bridges on a section of National Highway 279 from Viet Quang Town (Bac Quang District) to Yen Binh Town (Quang Binh District) were severely damaged, affecting travel and traffic safety.

Residents along the road expressed their wish that functional authorities would soon repair those bridges to ensure safety for vehicles and road users.

Following the Ha Giang Newspaper report, the Ha Giang Department of Transport shared that a repair plan for 21 bridges on National Highway 279 in Ha Giang Province has been approved by the Department for Roads of Vietnam under a decision dated March 20, 2024. The total repair cost is expected to be 14 billion VND.

The Ha Giang Department of Transport stated that the repair plan is in the stage of investment preparation. Construction contractors are scheduled to be selected in September,with construction to begin in October. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
