Lo Lo Chai – A fairy-tale village on a stone plateau

08:33, 20/05/2025

BHG - Nestled at the foot of the majestic Rong Mountain, about one kilometre from the Lung Cu National Flag Tower, Lo Lo Chai Village appears like a peaceful painting amid the stone plateau. This is the shared homeland of the Lo Lo and Mong ethnic minority communities, who have lived here for generations. The culture of the Lo Lo people is vividly expressed through traditional patterns such as fish and dragons, reflecting a life constantly shadowed by water scarcity. The wish for “dragons to spout water” is not only a simple wish but also a heartfelt message conveyed in every pattern and every house in this remote northernmost land of the country.
