‘Land of Tea’ festival held in Cao Bo Commune
BHG - The People’s Committee of Cao Bo Commune, Vi Xuyen District, recently organised the ‘Heritage Tea Land’ Festival 2025, attracting the participation of leaders of Vi Xuyen District, local people and visitors.

Cao Bo Commune has 11 villages and hamlets with over 4,000 people, of which 96% are Dao ethnic people. This area is blessed by nature, with favourable soil conditions and a cool climate, making it suitable for cultivating Shan Tuyet tea.

Tea has become a key crop, bringing high economic efficiency and stable income for the people, while also playing an important role in the local efforts to eradicate hunger and reduce poverty.

The festival featured many vibrant and attractive cultural, artistic, sporting activities, and traditional ethnic sports such as tug-of-war and stick pushing, contests in making traditional Dao ethnic cakes such as horn-shaped cakes and humpback cakes, singing competitions, silver engraving competitions, traditional tea roasting, and culinary contests.

The festival aimed to promote the image and brand of Shan Tuyet tea products from Cao Bo Commune in the Tay Con Linh range, and preserve the traditional tea production and processing craft. It also sought to safeguard the silver engraving village craft and the cultural space of ethnic groups to attract tourists and boost local socio-economic development.
At the same time, it contributed to attracting investment and support from companies and enterprises in developing tea products to increase the value of Shan Tuyet tea.
