Tha Culture and Tourism Village recognised as tourist destination

BHG - The Tha Culture - Tourism Village in Phuong Do Commune, Ha Giang City was recently recognised as a tourist destination, according to Decision No. 992 issued by the Provincial People's Committee.

Pursuant to relevant laws, resolutions, decisions and the proposal by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People’s Committee decided to recognise the Tha Culture - Tourism Village as a tourist destination.

The Ha Giang City People's Committee is named as the owner and manager of the tourist site. Related organisations and individuals are responsible for protecting and developing the tourism resources, safeguarding the ecological environment, creating favourable conditions for tourist activities.

At the same time, they are requested to ensure the participation of the local community in tourism activities, maintain the conditions and standards of the tourist destination while making further investment in improving technical facilities and developing products and services at the destination.

Regulations on management, and operation of the tourist destination must also be promulgated.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be responsible for instructing, inspecting, and supervising the Ha Giang City People's Committee and the units that own and manage tourist sites in implementing the assigned tasks.

The department is also tasked with managing the recognised tourist site, in conformity with current legal regulations. Further actions must be taken to popularise the Tha village tourist site through mass media.

Tha Village is over 5 km from the centre of Ha Giang City. 99% of households in the village are Tay ethnic people. This is an attractive tourist destination as it has well preserved beautiful cultural features, cultural facilities and infrastructure.

In addition to being recognised as a new-styled rural area, Tha village also met criteria for a typical culture tourism village which has realised the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Programme by the Provincial People's Committee.

The recognition as a tourist destination will help the village effectively promote its tourism resources while opening up new opportunities in attracting more investment to the locality.
