Tuyen Quang: Afforestation reaches target ahead of schedule

Thanks to the effective implementation of afforestation and the proactive participation of people, Tuyen Quang province has achieved remarkable afforestation results in 2025.

In 2025, the province set a target of planting 13.047,8 hectares of forest. However, in September, over 14.000 hectares were planted, including more than 177 hectares of protection and special-use forests, and 13.833 hectares of production forests, reaching 107,3% of the plan.

In addition, more than 1.591 hectares of scattered trees were planted, contributing to greening bare land, improving the environment and enhancing local living conditions.

Localities prioritized high-yield and climate-resilient tree species such as hybrid acacia and ingenious varieties, helping improve productivity and adaptability to climate change.

Thanks to the technical compliance and support from the Provincial Resolution No. 03, Minh Thanh commune planted 426,59 hectares, reaching 198% of the annual target, making it one of the leading localities in forest planting across the province.

According to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Forest Protection Sub-Department, the program supporting high-quality forestry seedlings under Resolution No. 03/2017/NQ-HĐND continued to be effectively implemented, ensuring sufficient and timely seedling supply. With stable timber prices and increased processing capacity, local people can harvest and replant simultaneously, forming a sustainable forestry production cycle.

The exceeded result of the afforestation plan provides a strong foundation for Tuyen Quang province to further promote its forestry-based economy, advance deep processing, ensure origin traceability, and establish plantation codes, toward sustainable development.
