As part of the 2025 Thanh Tuyen Festival, from October 9 to 15, Tuyen Quang province will host a trade fair showcasing outstanding rural industrial products from northern Vietnam and local OCOP products, featuring 250 booths. The event aims to promote local agricultural specialties, offering visitors a space to experience and purchase gifts rich in the flavors of the homeland.

Binh Minh Organic Agricultural Cooperative in Yen Son manages 30 hectares of raw material areas, five of which are certified organic. The cooperative produces 14 products, nearly half rated as three-star OCOP, including guava tea and papaya flower-infused honey, which have already been exported to the UK. According to its deputy director, the cooperative has carefully prepared for the fair, hoping to bring organic products closer to consumers while enhancing the visibility of OCOP goods from the province.

Another highlight is mint honey, a specialty of the UNESCO-recognized Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark. Truong Anh Co., Ltd. from Lung Phin will present five product sets of mint honey, all with traceability labels and standardized packaging. Harvested from bees feeding on wild mint flowers blooming across rocky mountains from September to December, the honey is famed for its glistening texture, refreshing flavor, and distinctive greenish-gold hue.

Beyond savoring local specialties, visitors immerse themselves in the vibrant festival atmosphere. Nguyen Ngoc Ha, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said he was impressed by the giant, colorful Mid-Autumn lantern models parading through the streets, as well as the diversity of products on display. For him, items like tea, honey, vermicelli, and essential oils carry not only the essence of the countryside but also the passion and dedication of local producers, making them meaningful gifts.

This year’s Thanh Tuyen Festival introduces several innovations to position Tuyen Quang as a safe, civilized, and friendly destination. At the same time, the event provides opportunities for residents to increase income through tourism by showcasing distinctive ethnic cuisine and culture.

According to Le Thi Thu Hang, Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, the fair will help enterprises and cooperatives advertise their brands and seek partners. Authorities are focusing on quality control to ensure clear origins and standards compliance. After the fair, expectations include boosting sales, expanding markets, strengthening e-commerce, and improving product packaging and preservation. These efforts aim to enhance value, build reputation, and support the sustainable development of local agricultural brands.
