With a strong determination to accelerate and make breakthroughs in investment promotion, in addition to identifying the improvement of the investment environment as a key task, the province has set out specific orientations regarding investment fields and locations for 2025. Priority sectors include agriculture and forestry; tourism and services; industry; urban infrastructure; and science and technology.

The province is focused on attracting investment projects that are linked to commodity value chains, prioritising the application of high technology and the development of material zones associated with key products such as tea, Sanh oranges, honey, cattle, and medicinal herbs. Meanwhile, agricultural products for tourism are also being promoted.

Aiming to make tourism a spearhead economic sector, the province is calling for green tourism projects, resorts, and ecological and community-based tourism projects to preserve resources and culture. It is also seeking investment in tourism infrastructure and commercial-service complexes aligned with the development orientation of “Ha Giang: green – distinctive – sustainable”. Service and logistics projects at border gate areas are also prioritised to ensure national defence and security.

In the industrial sector, the province is focusing on attracting projects in agricultural and forestry product processing, and supporting industries using advanced, environmentally friendly technologies. At the same time, it is pushing for science and technology development, the digital economy, innovation, and digital transformation.

Ha Thi Minh Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee, emphasised that the province has identified priority partners as foreign enterprises with established brands, strong financial capacity, and long-term investment commitments. For domestic partners, priority is given to major corporations and businesses in breakthrough sectors. The province also encourages linkages between businesses within and outside the province, including foreign direct investment (FDI), to participate in value chains.

The province is proactively promoting investment both directly and online, building a detailed investment database. It also strengthens dialogue and support to help businesses resolve difficulties and accelerate disbursement. All projects are carefully reviewed to ensure consistency with planning, economic efficiency, and legal compliance.
