Infrastructure breakthrough, rural development
BHG - Over the past years, Quang Binh District has identified two breakthroughs for socio-economic development: Building infrastructure and implementing the National Target Programme on building new-style rural areas.
Thanks to political determination, proactive and creative approaches, and consensus from the people, these steps have brought about many clear changes to the local appearance.
Regarding infrastructure, the district has focused on effectively exploiting resources, and decentralising to communes and towns as project investors to increase initiative. Infrastructure has been invested systematically and linked to socio-economic development planning and urban orientation.

Quang Binh District's people are looking forward to the project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 183 soon to be completed to create momentum for economic development. |
From 2020-2025, the district has upgraded 91 irrigation works, 64 school works, 19 central roads, renovated 365 kilometres of rural roads, built 35 bridges, 21 electricity works, five community houses, three commune markets and resettlement areas for people in flood-hit areas. The completed works help improve people's lives, support production and trade, and attract investment.
One of the key projects is the 36.5-kilometre-long Provincial Road 183 renovation, with an investment capital of more than 300 billion VND, which is being urgently completed. Completing the route will help connect Quang Binh with Bac Quang and Luc Yen districts (Yen Bai), creating momentum for regional economic development.
For building a new-style rural, the district focuses on mobilising the entire political system and people to participate, with the motto: "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people benefit".
In five years, the “Saturday for the New-style Rural Area” movement has organised 890 campaigns, attracting more than 35,000 participants, contributing nearly 60,000 working days, and donating more than 102,000 square metres of land and materials worth more than 92 billion VND.
Thanks to that, the district has completed 62 concrete road projects, dozens of irrigation projects, 40 electricity projects, 17 schools, 60 cultural houses, and 14 economic development linkage projects. Up to now, 9 out of 14 communes have met the new-style rural standards, and many modern projects have sprung up to serve the life and activities of the community.
The pioneering spirit of party members also spread strongly, as Hau Van Lu (Na Beng Village, Na Khuong Commune) donated more than 3,000 square metres of land to build roads, football fields, and cultural houses, and mobilised people to participate in environmental sanitation and new rural development.
The two breakthroughs mentioned are creating new momentum for Quang Binh, strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party Committee and government, towards building an increasingly rich and civilised district.
