Ha Giang City implements the “sprint” year from the beginning of the year

BHG - The year 2024 marked an important step forward in implementing the Resolution of the Ha Giang City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, overcoming many challenges and achieving outstanding results, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development.

The city’s economy maintained a stable growth momentum, completing 37 out of 52 targets. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue reached over 7.55 trillion VND, up 15.16%. Important projects such as Vincom and Phuong Thien market were completed, attracting a record 2,217,858 visitors, up 260.92%. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production reached 486.2 billion VND, up 8.92%.

The year 2025 is the decisive year to complete the goals of the Resolution for the term. The city has set many key tasks, focusing on summarising, adjusting policies, promoting revenue from land, taxes and mobilising investment capital. Trade, e-commerce, tourism promotion, and utility services are promoted to create momentum for comprehensive economic development. In agricultural development, shifting thinking from agricultural production to agricultural economy will be one of the key goals, with the continued development of an advanced new rural model, combined with tourism to increase added value.

The city is determined to achieve the criteria of a type II urban area by 2025, focusing on upgrading urban infrastructure, renovating public areas, and creating a green, clean and beautiful living space. Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Danh Hung affirmed that 2025 is the “sprint” year to complete the term’s goals, maintain growth through budget revenue, attract investment, and develop key projects. E-commerce and utility services will be important driving forces to improve the quality of life.

The city continues to invest heavily in infrastructure, urban beautification, public space improvement, land and environmental management, and administrative reform. Education quality, health care, and environmental protection are prioritised, determined to complete the goals of the 2020-2025 term at the highest level.
