Bach Dich-Yangwan border passage reopens for exit-entry activities

BHG - A ceremony was held in Ha Giang Province on November 17 to restore exit-entry activities at the Bach Dich-Yangwan border passage between Ha Giang’s Yen Minh District and Malipo County of Wenshan Prefecture in China’s Yunnan Province.

The event was attended by Deputy Governor of Wenshan Prefecture Zhang Jinfeng, Chairman of Yen Minh District Hoang Anh Tuan, leaders of the foreign service, trade, customs, border guard and public security from both sides, as well as people of the border area.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leaders of Yen Minh and Malipo expressed delight at the reopening of the Bach Dich-Yangwan border passage, which was previously busy with trading activities and relative visits on the two sides of the border.

They noted that after a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the reopening of the passage is a significant eventfor the governments and peoples ofthe two localities and affirmed that they would work to facilitate exit-entry activities, goods exchange and cross-border trade.

The two sides will also direct the functional agencies to work closely together to combat crime and epidemics, as well as build a border of peace, friendship, stability and development, thereby promoting the creation of local jobs and the effective implementation of legal documents on the Vietnam-China land border and relevant agreements.

Following the ceremony, the people of the border areas began to conduct goods trading and exit-entry activities in accordance with regulations.
