Job opportunities created for people in mountainous areas
BHG - In recent years, Dong Van District has made significant efforts to create job opportunities for locals through numerous programmes. With a large labour force and high demand from companies and enterprises, these initiatives have helped many local people find suitable jobs, contributing to the locality's socio-economic development.
Minh Xa Employment Co., Ltd., established in May 2024, primarily engages in contracts to send workers to China, focusing on border districts such as Phu Ninh, Dong Cang, and Malipo. The company's operations comply with employment service regulations and it is also the first employment company in the highland district of Dong Van. After three months of operation, the company has helped nearly 300 workers in districts such as Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac secure stable jobs and incomes.

It is known that Minh Xa Employment Co., Ltd. is currently collaborating with employment companies in Phu Ninh, Malipo, and other areas. Workers are being introduced to jobs in garment factories, brocade weaving, and agriculture, which require low skill levels and are suitable for locals. All workers currently earn a stable income of over 8 million VND per person per month.
Ly Mi Dinh, from Pho Cao Commune (Dong Van District), works as a caretaker at a tangerine orchard in Malipo County, Yunnan Province (China). Dinh said: "In the past, I only worked on the farm, and after the harvest season, I would take odd jobs at factories in town, but the work was unstable. After learning that a company in the district offered employment opportunities for locals to work in China, my wife and I submitted our applications. Through Minh Xa Employment Co., Ltd., we found work caring for a tangerine orchard, earning 8.5 million VND a month”.
Nguyen Van Chieu, Head of the Dong Van District Office of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Department stated: "Currently, Dong Van District has about 10,000 people of working age, accounting for approximately 20% of the district's total population. China is also a potential labour market, suitable for the skills and conditions of the local workforce. The entire district has around 1,100 workers employed in China, mainly in agriculture and garment, all of whom have stable incomes. In addition to partnering with domestic companies to create jobs for local workers, Dong Van District is also strengthening ties with employment companies in China to seek more job opportunities for the people”.
