Ha Giang Province plants over 26,000 hectares of Summer-Autumn crops
BHG - AS of the end of July 2024, the whole of Ha Giang Province has planted more than 26,000 hectares of Summer-Autumn crops, reaching more than 93% of the 2024 plan —an increase of nearly 10% compared to the same period in 2023.

This year's Summer-Autumn crop, localities use purebred rice varieties, short-term hybrid rice crop, with high quality, suitable for local climate conditions, such as: Gia dui, Khau mang, Te nuong, Thien uu 8; Long Huong, Nhi uu, Kinh so uu, and Viet lai 20.
To ensure the progress of planting, localities have recently focused on directing specialised sectors to increase propaganda, mobilisation, and guidance for farmers on how to plant according to the season, while at the same time selecting rice varieties that ensure quality, with clear origin, and promoting mechanisation in preparing the land, planting, and expanding the tray seedling model.
In the coming time, localities will continue to direct specialised sectors to strengthen field inspections to proactively detect early pests and diseases, and direct timely and effective prevention; organise inspections of compliance with legal regulations in agricultural material trading; actively guide people to take good care of the planted rice area; and devise plans and strategies for pest and disease prevention and timely natural disaster prevention, thus ensuring high productivity and yield for the Summer-Autumn crop.
