Launch of first pharmaceutical cosmetics brand using Shan Tuyet tea

BHG - Thanh Son Co., Ltd., based in Phuong Do Commune, Ha Giang City, has just launched Sancha — a pharmaceutical cosmetics brand using extracts from Shan Tuyet tea.

With the goal of turning raw materials of ancient Shan Tuyet tea into refined, high-value products and creating tea beauty products, Thanh Son Co., Ltd. has taken the vanguard role in applying science and technology into the production of ancient Shan Tuyet tea. The Sancha pharmaceutical cosmetics brand is the outcome of a project entitled ‘Application of science and technology to produce cleaning, antibacterial products for makeup from the rind of ancient Shan Tuyet tea fruits grown in Tay Con Linh Mount in Ha Giang’.

The Sancha brand includes a set of 3 skin care products: Shan Tuyet facial cleansing gel, Shan tea flower facial mist, and Shan tea flower skin soothing toner (balancing water).

The project, sourced from the State budget, has been certified by the Centre for Information and Transfer of New Technologies under the Ha Giang Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The enterprise is certified by the Department of Health as being qualified to produce cosmetics, with its packaging line including product packaging, semi-finished products, and dry/wet products.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Hoang Nhi Son, Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, emphasised that Ha Giang Province is known as the key tea production area of the country, with a total cultivating area of more than 20,300 hectares.

The Shan Tuyet tea growing area accounts for 90.28% of the entire province's total tea area. Shan Tuyet tea is not only famous for its delicious taste but is also considered a precious medicine thanks to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and antibacterial properties.

Son hailed that Thanh Son Co., Ltd. is the first enterprise in the province to produce cosmetics extracted from ancient Shan Tuyet tea, thus contributing to enhancing the province’s Shan Tuyet tea brand.

He expressed his hope that the company will continue to conduct research and apply science and technology to produce diverse pharmaceutical cosmetics products from Shan Tuyet tea.

At the launch ceremony of the Sancha cosmetics brand, Thanh Son Co., Ltd. signed agreements to supply its products to three businesses operating in the cosmetics industry.
