Promoting tourism of Ha Giang - Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination 

BHG - On April 12, Ha Giang Province held a tourism promotion forum in Hanoi under the theme ‘Ha Giang – Asia's leading regional cultural destination’. The event was attended by leaders of agencies under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Association, as well as international organisations and representatives of Ha Giang Province.

The forum aimed to introduce the majestic natural beauty, unique culture and typical products of the ethnic groups of Ha Giang Province, thereby attracting domestic and international tourists, while expanding cooperation in the tourism sector. 

The forum also provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination between state management agencies, enterprises, media and units operating in the tourism sector, to remove difficulties and promote sustainable tourism development, while facilitating cultural and environmental conservation.

At the event, experts and businesses shared experiences and proposed solutions to develop tourism products imbued with the locality’s identity. They also introduced stories about Ha Giang to the international market, focusing on enhancing tourist experiences and creating lasting impressions on them.

The forum on promoting tourism of Ha Giang - Asia's leading regional cultural destination in Hanoi was a great success.

In addition, the forum also featured a demonstration of making and enjoying Shan Tuyet tea - a local speciality of Ha Giang, along with an introduction to upcoming cultural and tourism events of the locality. 

Speaking at the forum, Vice Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha affirmed the determination to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector to improve people's lives and sustainable socio-economic development. 

She called for support from the National Tourism Administration, the Vietnam Tourism Association and international organisations in orienting development strategies, promoting images, connecting travel businesses and attracting investment. 

She also requested that media agencies continue to promote the beauty and cultural values ​​of Ha Giang to the public.
