Despite adverse weather conditions such as storms and landslides, Ha Giang has continued to attract a strong influx of tourists and is expected to reach 3.2 million visitors by the end of the year. Total tourism revenue for this period is estimated at 6.120 trillion VND.
One of the factors contributing to Ha Giang's appeal is its breathtaking natural scenery and famous landmarks, such as the Lung Cú National Flag Tower, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Tu San Canyon, and the UNESCO Global Geopark of Dong Van Karst Plateau. These pristine landscapes, combined with traditional cultural values, create a unique attraction. Hoang Mai Anh, a tourist from Phu Yen Province, expressed her satisfaction with her trip, feeling "healed" by immersing herself in the magnificent and serene beauty of Ha Giang.
Ha Giang’s authorities have been actively improving tourism infrastructure to meet the growing demand of visitors. The province now boasts 992 accommodation facilities with a total of 18,000 rooms, including four-star hotels such as Yen Bien Luxury and Phoenix. Transport infrastructure has also been upgraded with 360 interprovincial tour buses, 97 intraprovincial vehicles, and 53 boats serving inland waterway tourism. The skills of Ha Giang’s tour guides have also been enhanced, with 217 certified guides ready to assist tourists.
Visitors like Dinh Thi Hai Yen, who returned after five years, noted the remarkable improvements in the professionalism and quality of Ha Giang’s tourism sector. She praised the quality of services, transportation, and reasonable prices, and expressed her desire to return in the future.
To maintain service quality, Ha Giang has implemented numerous measures to ensure security, food safety, and orderly management in tourist areas. Regulations on behaviour, environmental protection, and traffic safety have been reinforced, along with the promotion of traditional ethnic costumes during festivals to add cultural appeal for tourists. These efforts have helped Ha Giang sustain its position as an attractive and sustainable tourist destination for the future.
